Q Tech January camera sales down 10pc YoY, up 12pc MoM
Q Technology (1478) reported that its camera module sales reached 35.9 million units in January, a 10.2 percent year-on-year decline, but a 12.3 percent increase from the previous month.
The month-on-month increase in sales was linked to customer project cycles, while the year-on-year decline was due to its focus on mid-to-high-end products, according to a filing on Tuesday.
Among them, camera module sales for mobile phones saw a 10.8 percent year-on-year decline to 34.7 million units, but rose 13.4 percent month-on-month.
Fingerprint recognition module sales surged 41.5 percent year-on-year but dropped 18.2 percent month-on-month to 16.67 million units. The year-on-year increase was driven by the company’s mass production and market share gain, the company said.
